RE: RV trade show purchases?

shows are good for folks that don't like to negotiate. If you are comfortable with that, then buy after the show, if not use the show to your advantage. But as mentioned do your homework before as many people there get caught in the frenzy and buy uneducated.

RE: Chrysler to overtake GM Canada as production leader

End of the day, when you build something people don't want they will buy something else. Domestic got so hung up on the SUV trend, they have no pipeline for other vehicles, unless you call a crossover 'other'.
Chrysler is doing very strong in Canada relative to the others domestics compared to the US, not sure why this is though, any thoughts?

My gosh, why bother posting, aren't there some kittens to drown?
Great story! Love to hear it, grammer and all, I will take that over people on a pedastel.
( And if I used incorrect grammer or punctuation, then shoot me)

I love how it is parked in front of an upholstery place, looks like the only thing 'new' in there is the seat covers!

RE: What is killing my battery

Had a friend who found out after many attempts at solving, that it was his fridge light NOT going out when he shut the door, took out the bulb and problem solved. The 'trip' lever on the light was broken, but how would you know unless you check it!

RE: Winter Storage and Mice

I am in a similar situation. Moth balls around the outside of your trailer will not infiltrate the smell into the neighbouring trailers! So do that for sure.
I have done bounce, useless. I have plugged as many openings as possible, still get in.
Have done the d-con, definitely works but they live in the TT until they are close to dying so still deal with the poop and sometimes the furry dried up remains!
Last year I put them around the trailer tires and into the trailer as well, that seemed to work best. Although I would like to try the peppermint oil mentioned as you need a few trips to get rid of the smell.

RE: Changes from 2004 to 2008 models

I would not say that most RV's built today are 'improved' from 4 years ago... or 8 years ago etc. If anything I have found that quality, cost savings and cut corners are more evident on newer trailers as they try to squeeze out every cent of profit...

RE: Canadians Buying in the US - CSA Approval & Warranty

Go to RV direct, I have been looking at them for my upgrade, very helpful. Addressed the whole CSA stuff and will deliver to the nearest border town, or direct to you for a little more $$ Still a way better deal than the RIP OFF the dealers are pulling up here, do it now while our dollar is very strong.

RE: Pilgrim travel trailors

Like any 'new' company they had their schtick on service and satisfying the customer to gain a foothold in the industry. Now that they are there they are like any other company, bottom line is profits. Mark my words we will see the same in a couple of years from Tango and such...

RE: Trimming Memory foam to fit?

I ordered the standard size and trimmed myself. Thickness is only part of the equation, density is the other. We have a 2" piece quite dense and it is great... Cannot remember the density 'number' though...
To cut, place on large hard floor, like basement concrete etc. take a long piece of wood ( 2x4 ) or similar. Place on the cut line and press down ( wood on the 'usable side'. Take a SHARP utility knife and cut along the compressed wood edge, will get a decent clean cut.

RE: DO ANY OTHER GMC 6.0 LITER GAS ENGINES HAVE THIS PROBLEM

Google 'piston slap' and you will find a LOT of info on it, all from no harm at all, to this is the end of the world.
Also, if you do a search on it here, you will find a lot of topics too, seemed to be a big topic about a year or two ago...

RE: Questions on costs when ordering a generator from US to Can.

Thanks for all the great replies, this is one topic that seemed to have little info till now!
I was listening to the radio today about how our 'prices' in Canada have stalled at about 18% over the same product in the US despite the equal currency. Now I do understand that there are other factors to create this difference, BUT I sure as heck cannot justify paying a 54% premium for the same genny here or from the States, even if I have to pay the associated 'fees' to get it here. Once I figure out the company ( Cabelas is back ordered and on for $1099) and the costs I will let all know!
Thanks again
